The Fountain

Working from a selection of 17th and 18th-century paintings of public gardens with fountains, these soft apocalypses re-imagine highly-ordered architectural spaces that were typically under formal and social control.

In this series, fountains are at-ruin, invoking a display of romantic weather systems, fireworks, smoketrails, waterfalls and Japanese manga inspired explosions, using ink, glitter, neon underdrawings and electrical tape.
