Antechamber
ANTECHAMBER is a series of bindings and book/objects that work with a selection of fiction by the English-born Surrealist painter and writer Leonora Carrington (1917-2011). The texts include first and second editions, including a rare edition of The Oval Lady (1975). The books are technical hybrids: hardcover hidden within softcover; Japanese sewn spines with articulated covers that are like tentacles, flower-fish, butterflies, and Carrington’s signature vegetable: the red cabbage.
